Hero MotoCorp is aiming to further expand its scooter line-up in the Indian market. At the 2014 Delhi Motor Show, the home-grown two-wheeler maker had showcased various scooters including the Dash 110cc scooter. According to a report published on Autocar Professional's website, the production of the vehicle has already commenced at the company's Gurgaon facility. The Dash 110cc scooter is expected to be launched by the mid-2015.

The Hero Dash scooter will be powered by a new four-stroke, air-cooled, single-cylinder 111cc petrol engine that paired to a CVT gearbox, produces a top power output of 8.5bhp and a peak torque of 9.4Nm. This scooter weighs just 110kgs, which in return offers high fuel efficiency and performance. The 110cc scooter comes with a ground clearance of 155mm, which is good enough to tackle city roads.

The Dash will join the Maestro in the Hero's 110cc scooter segment, and will rival against the country's best-selling Honda Activa and others including TVS Jupiter, Mahindra Gusto, Suzuki Lets and Yamaha Ray. The company is also planning to launch a 125cc version of the Maestro and 150cc Zir in the country.
