Toyota's Innova has been ruling the tarmac in the Indian MPV segment. The rather subtle looking MPV has been a local favorite owing to presence of comfort, decent styling, safety, decent performance and impressive efficiency. Recently, sources have also managed to get spy shots of the latest trim due for launch in the country next year. Based on reports, Toyota may unveil the new trim at the India's biggest auto event known as Auto Expo, early in 2016. The yet to be launched trim seemed to be sharing some amount of resemblance with new the Corolla Altis and Camry saloon. With the new Innova on cards, the Japanese carmaker expects to further strengthen its presence in India.
The upcoming 2016 Toyota Innova is likely to sport two chrome slats in its front fascia that merges into the sweptback headlamps. The MPV may get double-barrel projector units with integrated LED daytime running lamps that render it a smarter appeal. The bumpers have been redone to accommodate a wider air dam and smart looking fog lamps. As for the sides it might also receive minor tweaks to give it a new look. As for the interiors, it may get slightly more roomier than the existing trim. The new trims may however be powered by the existing engine options, but the company is yet to confirm this and may be known at a later date.
