      Rash driving by drunk teenagers takes lives of two students

      A speeding Honda City car took away the lives of two students while injuring two others on 17th evening at Rahate Colony Square in Nagpur. Four drunk youths were allegedly driving the car, which killed the student on the spot. However, all four youths involved in the crime was nabbed by Dhantoli police. As per reports, the accused belonged to well-known families in the city and are in the age group of 17-19. According to police sources, a 17-year-old, son of a reputed builder was driving the vehicle. Other occupants were son of a businessman, a college owner, and a doctor.

      Relatives of the victims Vaibhav Ghuguskar and Sagar Bawne vowed to fight for justice. Bawne's elder brother Ravi, said, "We do not want compensation but jail for culprits." He added, "We are apprehensive justice may elude us as the culprits are from rich and influential families and they would come together to ensure the matter is disposed of without much hassle.” Ravi further added that the family will meet the collector and take part in the protest rally.

      Close relative of Ghuguskar, Mukesh Mohodikar, said that the victim was the eldest son, who left behind him two marriageable sisters. He said "His father was keen to retire from service in railways as soon as the son took up the responsibility. The family has suffered a massive setback”. Mahesh Bawne another relative of Ghuguska said that apart from the driver, other occupants should also be punished and held equally responsible.
