An MUV coming from India's largest car-maker Maruti Suzuki is definitely a hot-seller in the local market. Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is not just an obvious choice but also a practical choice in the Indian car-market. Honda's upcoming MPV named Mobilio has been a talk of the town in recent time. The Japanese car-maker had also recently hinted on beginning the production for the Mobilio MPV. The launch shall also be a milestone event for Honda, as the car-maker shall venture into this MPV segment which has been left untouched for a while. Honda India has started previewing the Mobilio MPV on its website. Details on the pricing aspect has not been revealed for now. It is anticipated that the car maybe launched sometime in the second half of this year.
The Ertiga MUV from Maruti is available in Petrol, Diesel and CNG variant. The petrol version is powered by 1373 cc K-Series Petrol VVT engine that generates about 95 Ps of power with 130 Nm of torque. The diesel version gets a 1248 cc DDiS Diesel engine that generates about 90 Ps of power with 200 Nm of torque. The CNG variant is powered by 1373 cc K-Series Petrol VVT engine that generates about 82 Ps of power with 110 Nm of torque. For the interiors, the Ertiga MUV gets a sporty dashboard, chrome door handles and stylish meter cluster. The occupant area looks elegant and is designed for maximum comfort. You can choose your favorite music from playlist using steering audio controls. Comfort for the rear seat passengers is also ensured with a second row armrest and 2nd row Ac system with controllers.
Honda Mobilio MPV is available in Petrol and Diesel variants. The petrol version shall be powered by 1.5 Liter petrol engine. The diesel variant also gets a 1.5 Liter turbo diesel engine. Both the engines have been mated to 5 Speed manual gearbox. The upcoming Jazz hatchback is expected to be available in two fuel options – 1.2 litre petrol and the new 1.5 Litre diesel engine. The petrol engine generates about 86PS with 109 Nm of torque, whereas its diesel counterpart generates about 100PS with 200Nm of torque. Both the engines may be mated to a five-speed gearbox as seen in petrol versions of Amaze and Brio models. Based on unofficial reports, the Mobilio MUV is expected to deliver a fuel efficiency of about 25.8 kmpl. The interiors seems have been well thought by Honda. The lower portion of the instrument panel has been reduced and the seats carry a concave design to deliver maximum leg room. The interior is quite spacious and carries the rich Honda feel. On the exterior front, the Mobilio MPV carries sharp contours and looks decent yet classy. The window for the last row passengers looks stylish and attention grabbing. The higher end version of this MPV gets a roof mounted spoiler and stylish reflectors placed at the base of the door.
