Porsche’s highly anticipated Macan SUV has arrived in India from Germany. The Macan will be introduced in India as a completely built unit and will be imported from Germany. Launch is expected to take place in the month of July. The SUV was earlier speculated to come out in the month of June, however it has been learnt that that Macan could be rolled out in the upcoming month.
India-spec model is likely to be offered in Turbo and diesel trims. Turbo variant of the SUV is expected to be housed with a 3.6 litre, six pot engine that is capable of engendering a towering power of 400 Hp and a top torque of 550 Nm. The engine touches the 100 kmph mark from standstill within 6.3 seconds and touches the top speed mark of 230 kmph. On the other hand the S diesel trim is likely to be packed with a 3.0 litre powertrain that yields a maximum power and torque output of 260 Hp and 580 Nm respectively. The diesel powerplant sprints from0 to 100 kmph within 4.8 seconds and attains a top speed of 266 kmph. Both the versions of Macan will offer PDK and all-wheel drive system as standard.
On the price front, the SUV will most likely to tagged on a higher side. A hypothetical price ranging between Rs 75 lakh to Rs 90 lakh is being anticipated for the SUV in India.
