Yamaha India has launched the refreshed FZ FI version 2.0 in India priced at Rs 76,250 while the FZ-S is available for sale in India at Rs 78,250(ex-showroom Delhi). A host of vital modifications can be seen in the tweaked variant of the bike. Yamaha has introduced the new fuel injection built under its new Blue Core technology in the FZ F1 version 2.0. This new technology enables low fuel consumption, curbs power loss and enhanced combustion efficiency. The new Blue Core technology featured in updated FZ also offers increased combustion chamber and air intake, effective crank inertia, lighter moving parts, improved electric charging system, roller rocker arm and FI system with restricted loop.
Under the hood is a 149.1 cc fuel injected motor that develops a towering power of 13.1 PS along with a peak torque of 12.8 Nm. The Blue Core technology also enables a faster low down thrust and an enhanced fuel efficiency of 14 per cent.
Other than this, refined breathing, combustion and exhaust also contribute towards the increased fuel economy and lead to decreased emissions. The company also made it clear that the new injectors and in the FZ bike need to be cleaned after every 6000 Km. Oil also needs to be changed in every 6000 kms.
The refreshed version 2.0 of FZ FI weighs 132 kg which is 3 kgs lighter than the outgoing variant. It is also claimed to be the lightest 150 cc bikes on sale in India. The latest version of FZ not juts flaunts engine updates but also brags tweaks done on body. A new digital instrument cluster with an ecometer, split seats, new exhaust, tail lights and indicators have also been bestowed on the new FZ. Yamaha is offering the new FZ in four color options.
