      Nissan witnesses heavy growth in Europe in year 2011

      Japanese auto giant Nissan, which is gradually expanding its footprints in the Indian auto market, has witnessed a very successful year in the European market, during the calendar year 2011. The company managed to sell 695,702 units of its cars in Europe, registering a sales surge of 25 percent year on year. The company’s market share in Europe has surged 0.6% to 3.7% in the European market in last one year, breaking its own previous growth record.

      In the current calendar year, the car maker is looking forward for another high growth year with sales surging considerably in the region. Speaking on the company’s performance in the European market, Mr. Paul Willcox, senior Vice President (Sales and Marketing) in Nissan Europe, said that in the current year also the company is expecting good sales results. He added that in a bid to offer quality products and quality after sale service to the customers, the company is aiming to expand its sales and service network considerably.

      Moreover, the company is looking forward to expand its foot prints in the emerging markets like India. Nissan India is working aggressively to expand its India operations with strengthening the dealership network and launch more products in the volume driven car segment.
