The UK automotive industry witnessed the new Passat Bluemotion being rolled out from the Volkswagen production line. The new technology has earned the sedan a reputation as the most efficient non-hybrid trim to be rolled out from the Volkswagen's production line. The new trim is stated to be based on the regular 'S' variant.
Under the hood the new Volkswagen BlueMotion Passat gets a 1.8 litre four-cylinder TDI diesel engine that is capable of generating about 118 Hp of power with 250 Nm of torque. The most impressive aspect about this vehicle is that, Volkswagen claims that this vehicle returns a fuel efficiency figure of about 32 Kmpl. Yet, the sedan is capable of attaining a top speed of about 207 Km/Hr.
As part of enhanced drivability, the new Volkswagen Passat BlueMotion gets 17-inch alloys with low resistance tires, Post-Collision Braking and reworked front and rear bumpers. Inside, the vehicle gets 6.5-inch Composition Media infotainment system and a start-stop function as a standard feature.
