The French car maker Renault on Monday launched the high-end 4X4 version of its latest sports utility vehicle – Koleos – in the Indian auto market. Powered by a 2.0 liter engine, the new Renault Koleos 4X4 Diesel is priced at an ex-showroom price of Rs 24.1 lakh.
Speaking to the reporters in Mumbai on Monday, on the sidelines of the launch of the new high-end Koleos, Renault India Sales & Marketing Vice President Len Curran said, "We will launch our small car in India by next January. Besides, we will also launch an SUV and a mid-segment sedan in the same year."
Koleos SUV is the second portfolio model of Renault India after marking its re entry in the Indian market with the launch of the premium sedan Renault Fluence, a few months back.
While further informing about the all new Renault Koleos, Mr. Curran said, "The new Koleos made its world debut last week at the Frankfurt Motor Show. We are highly optimistic about the product and we are confident it will cater to the needs of all the customers who are looking for a premium SUV, which combines both style and dynamic abilities."
The firm now all set to launch three new car models in the Indian market by year 2012, which comprises of new compact hatchback in the starting of next year, new Mini SUV in the middle of next year and new mid-size sedan by the end of year 2012. The company aims to have a strong network of 100 dealerships by the end of next year.
