The new generation Maruti Swift Dzire, which is currently one of the most awaited cars in the country, is all set to be launched at the upcoming international auto expo 2012 in Delhi, in the month of January. The new Dzire is going to be a big hit in the Indian market considering its compact size and lower price tag. The excitement among car enthusiasts for the Dzire is even bigger than it was for Swift before its launch.
It is to be mentioned here that Maruti Suzuki has reduced the size of new Maruti Swift Dzire to below 4 meters, so that it can qualify for a lesser excise duty segment. This will in turn, will reduce the overall cost of the car, enabling the company to price it more competitively in the Indian market. The new Dzire is expected to be about Rs 30,000 to 40,000 cheaper as compared to its predecessor.
At present, the Swift Dzire model is one of the most sought after cars in the entry level sedan segment. The car is enjoying a waiting period of up to 4 months due to high demand. The car is available in both petrol and diesel versions in the price segment of Rs 4,94,557 - Rs 7,19,873, where it is competing with the likes of Toyota Etios, Ford Fiesta, Hyundai Accent, Mahindra Verito etc. The new Dzire will not only be lesser in price but also be higher in fuel economy and performance.
