      MSI eyes surging annual sales on the back of new cars and facelift versions

      India’s leading auto maker, Maruti Suzuki India will complete three decades in domestic market this December, in these three decades the company has been consistently performing well on sales front. However, it has been learnt that the company is planning to surge sales by three fold a year in upcoming five years. In order to achieve that, the company eyes offering new products and roll out its existing models in various fuel options including petrol, diesel, CNG and LPG. Other than this MSI would also be required to tweak its models in short intervals to keep it fresh. The company is also developing a low displacement diesel engine (800cc) that could power it’s A segment hatchbacks. Company has made it clear on previous occasions that it will invest a heavy chunk of amount on development of its R&D facility and new models for domestic market.

      A staggering amount of Rs 2,000 crore will be invested to develop a R&D centre and test course in India, this would be Suzuki’s first global centre other than one in home country Japan. A part of investment will also be used to improve sales, service and spare parts services. Sources reveal that MSI is working on making its cars more frugal in order to deliver enhanced performance. Bestowing vehicles with latest technology and high end features is also important to give its product an edge over other options.

      For now the company is preparing to launch Ciaz sedan in India around festive season. Among the refreshed versions, this year we will witness launch of new Swift hatchback and Swift Dzire compact sedan. MSI’s much awaited XA-Alpha based SUV is also in pipeline, though its launch is scheduled for next year but it will be the first compact SUV from the auto maker in India. Maruti Celerio diesel is also in the making and is speculated to be launched by in India by next year.
