A bunch of students along with their instructors at the BMW Munich and Dingolfing plants have worked on a new version of MINI. Taking MINI Cooper S Paceman as base model, students have comprehensively modified the vehicle into a two seater, they have also provided a pickup style cargo area in the vehicle. Named MINI Paceman Adventure, the car features a mighty turbocharged engine, all-wheel drive ALL4 system, a tweaked suspension and various other unique equipments.
The MINI Paceman Adventure amalgamates drive technology of the 135 kW/184 hp MINI Cooper S Paceman All4 with a contemporary two-seater pick-up vehicle concept. There is a capacious cargo area just behind the passenger compartment ends, the cargo area is meant for storing luggage, tools and equipment. The sturdy roof rack can accommodate a spare wheel.
MINI Paceman Adventure would be a delight to drive on gravel roads, dessert trails and muddy routes. The pickup gets a quintessential MINI short overhangs, a tweaked chassis with enhanced ground clearance and substantially taller front and rear clearance ramps. Endowed with a snorkel-like roof level, the vehicle looks viable for river crossing.
Supplementary lights placed on the front cross member of the roof rack enable increased visibility at night. An impeccable traction is guaranteed by the special off-road tyres with broad and deep treads. However the company does not intend to convert MINI Paceman Adventure into a series production, the vehicle is a complete one-shot.
