      Mercedes-Benz E-Class to be updated with new features

      Mercedes-Benz India’s top-selling luxury sedan – E-Class - that received a new infotainment system in February 2015, has now received more connectivity and comfort-enhancing features. This time the sedan gets an updated COMAND Online multimedia system with a new Audio 20 CD 5*1 system and a larger high resolution color display. The new audio system has a single CD player and a twin-radio, along with the iPod, USB/ AUX-in and Bluetooth connectivity. 
       
      The updates are standard on the top-model E 350 CDI, while the E200 CGI and E 250 CDI variants get them as pre-installed for Garmin MAP PILOT with GPS receiver.  The latter trims can be upgraded with the optional Garmin Maps-loaded system. The sedan, now, gets a reverse parking camera as a standard feature.

      Other standard equipment include THERMOTRONIC (3 zone) automatic climate control, DIRECT CONTROLl steering with speed limiter, ARTICO man-made upholstery, programmable 3 way memory for steering and mirrors, electrically adjustable seats with lumber support, ABS with brake assist, ESP, acceleration skid control, adaptive brake with hold function, hill start assist etc. 
       
      The Mercedes-Benz E-Class is available in three variants - E 200 CGI, the E 250 CDI and the E 350 CDI – which are powered with a 181.03bhp, 2.0-litre petrol, a 201.1bhp, 2.2-litre diesel and a 261.5bhp, 3.0-litre diesel engines respectively. The updated E-Class variants will soon be available across all the Mercedes-Benz showrooms in India. It is expected to be Rs. 1.10 lakh pricier than the existing lineup.
