The Mercedes-Benz B-Class is brought to India as CKD (Completely Knocked Down) kit and then assembled at the company’s production facility in Chakan, Pune. The B-Class facelift gets minor tweaks to exteriors and interiors. It features new headlamps, a prominent grille and restyled front bumper. At the rear, the updated hatchback has new taillight graphics, rear bumper and exhaust design. Inside the cabin, the 2015 Mercedes-Benz B-Class facelift is equipped with a new 8-inch touchscreen system, keyless entry and go, Ambient lighting, new upholstery for seats, etc.

Mechanically, the Mercedes-Benz B-Class facelift remains unchanged. The India-spec model is available in two engine options. While the petrol version of the hatchback is powered by a 1.6-litre engine that is good for 120bhp, the oil burner is the 2.2-litre engine that is capable of producing 107bhp of power. Both engines are tuned to offer improved fuel efficiency. In a bid to regain lost market share, Mercedes-Benz is aiming to launch 15 new models in the Indian car market.
