The 2015 edition of the Honda Dream Yuga has been launched by Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India Limited. Incidentally, the company has planned to launch 15 new models in India in 2015. This commuter bike is the first of the lot to be launched in the country. Honda would hope to grab a better share of the market with this bike in the segment of commuter motorcycles.
There have been a couple of changes as far as the cosmetic styling is concerned. New graphic styling has been introduced on the side panels, front cowl as well as on the fuel tank. The engine now sports a red logo of Honda. The engine however, does not go under any changes. The company sticks to the winning 110 cc, single-cylinder mill, which is capable of producing a power of 8 bhp and 9 Nm of torque. Honda has launched the bike with HET (Honda Eco-Technology), riding on which, the bike is claimed to have a mileage of 74 kilometres for a litre.
As always, there is stiff competition in the market in this segment and Honda Dream Yuga will be pitted against the likes of TVS Star City Plus, Bajaj Discover 100 M and Hero Splendor.
