India’s number one car brand Maruti Suzuki is set to have a busy festive season in 2015 and the market could see the entry of multiple models from the firm in coming months. It has already warmed up to the festive season by launching the S-Cross in the first week of August. Now, if reports are to be believed, the September-November period could the see the introduction of a couple of more cars. Let’s take a look the cars that Maruti Suzuki could launch in India:
Baleno Hatchback: The king of hatchback segment has fallen a bit behind as far as new models are concerned with Hyundai doing well with Grand i10, Honda launching Jazz and Tata Motors launching the Bolt. In order to counter the same, Maruti Suzuki is expected to launch the YRA premium hatchback in the festive. Though nothing is confirmed, Maruti Suzuki could forge a festive season launch to compete with the Jazz and capitalise the sales scope. YRA is going to come in both diesel and petrol models, which will be fitted with 1.3-litre and 1.0-litre engines, respectively. Some reports claim that this car is going to be named the Baleno.
Swift DZire AMT version: This compact sedan is one of Maruti Suzuki’s bestsellers and the firm has recognized the need to keep refreshing it. Keeping in sync with trends of the Indian market, Maruti Suzuki will launch an AMT version of the Swift DZire. It is expected that the engine options will remain the same for the Swift DZire.
