Honda Activa’s production has to be increased to about 2 lakh due to high demand. Having met the sales requirement of the company, the scooter still has a magnanimous appetite in the Indian market nowadays. This has led the officials decide and take up its production to almost 2 lakh per month.
The company has seen an increase in sales of about 15-20% from the first quarter of the fiscal to the second. As the enquiries and demands went up drastically from April to July, the company had to keep on increasing their scooter manufacture and production. Overall, the total sales went up by almost 33%. With the festive season approaching, the sales are yet to increase.
In order to meet demands and hike sales, HMSI has decided to propel the production of the Activa scooters at its Bangalore manufacturing unit. Earlier the company was manufacturing nearly 1.7-1.8 lakh scooters per month but now it has made up its mind to produce 2 lakh per month.
In 2001, Activa scooter was launched in the Indian markets and has received a positive response in both sales and usage since then. This is the reason the waiting period of this scooter after booking is nearly 2-5 months. Hero Splendor, which earlier was the master of two wheelers on Indian roads has been defeated in sales by Activa. The sales of Activa were 3 times more than the former in the last 11 months. It has left behind all other two wheelers to rule the Indian market and in that has emerged victorious. No wonder it receives such love and admiration from the population that its production had to be increased to a whopping 2 lakh scooters per month. It sure is a darling ride.
