      Maruti Suzuki achieves a new milestone with over 25 lakh K-Series engines produced

      Country's popular car-maker Maruti Suzuki has a new reason to cheer about. Maruti Suzuki has reportedly crossed the 25 Lakh production numbers for the K-Series engines. Some of the popular car models like Wagon R, Swift, Alto K10, Celerio, Swift Dzire, Ertiga and Ritz from the India's largest car-maker is blessed with this K-Series engine. Apart from the Petrol fuel type the K-Series engine is also available in LPG and CNG variants.

      The K-Series engine in Maruti Suzuki was introduced in the country way back in 2008, and in just about 6 years the company has crossed the 25 Lakh production numbers without much struggle. Speaking more on this astonishing feat, C V Raman, Executive Director, Engineering, Maruti Suzuki, said, "The K-series is one of the most refined gasoline engine technologies available in India. It is able to combine best in class fuel efficiency with superior performance. The cars powered by K-series have won customers' hearts and have become best sellers in their categories."

      In times when majority of car-makers in the country have been affected with poor sales, Maruti Suzuki has seen a growth of about 14.7% with 4,01,274 unit sales as against 3,49,733 units sold in the same time the previous year. Domestic sales have reportedly grown by 12.6% with 3,60,736 units, whereas exports have grown by 38.6% with 40,538 units sold this financial year.

      Speaking more on the car's success, C V Raman added, “The K-series engine plant deploys over 500 'foolproofing stations' that ensure that top quality, zero defect engines roll out of the plant.” Which speaking on future prospects, he added, “Engine refinement is an ongoing effort and going forward our new models will incorporate technologies that further enhance the attributes of high fuel efficiency, low emissions, superior performance and NVH.”
