      Maruti launched new spiced-up A-Star with a starting price of Rs 3.67 lakh

      Maruti Suzuki India Limited, the largest car maker in the country, has launched a new version of its popular hatchback A-Star in the Indian market. The new Maruti A-Star has been shelved in the price segment of Rs 3.67 lakh and Rs 4.47 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), about Rs 1,000 costlier as compared to the previous version of the car. The company will start selling the new A-Star in the Indian auto market from Today.

      Speaking at the launching ceremony of new A-Star model, Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) Chief General Manager (Marketing) Shashank Srivastava said, "The smart modifications in spiced-up A-Star are in line with customer feedback and seek to enhance the overall look, feel and comfort of the buyers."

      A number of changes have been made in both exterior and interior fronts of the new A-Star model, including a new exterior shade. Moreover, the company has also added a top end Zxi model in the line-up of the car.

      It is to be mentioned here that A-Star is the flagship exporting model of the Maruti Suzuki in the European market, where it has been appreciated for its superb performance. The car is available in both manual and automatic transmission versions, and the Automatic version accounts for about one-third sales of the car in the country. So far, the company has sold a total of 3.81 lakh units of this car.
