Sustaining the success of a particular model in the Indian market is extremely tough, given the competition exists and the consistent introduction of new cars. Experts feel that innovation and being update with market conditions are a manufacturer’s best bet to sustain the success of a model. Mahindra & Mahindra is doing the same thing with its Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) XUV500 and will be soon launching a facelift version of the model. A report by Indian Autos Blog suggests that a test mule has been spied testing in Chennai, which is located in Tamil Nadu.
Mahindra XUV500 facelift is likely to feature a new fascia with a changed rear profile, modified front bumper and tail lamps. Industry experts feel that this decision by Mahindra & Mahindra is going to benefit XUV500 in terms of sales. Though there will be no change in the mechanical configuration of this utility vehicle, Mahindra & Mahindra will offer a large number of visual changes in this car.
The launch date of Mahindra XUV500 is yet to be confirmed but the company is likely to introduce this vehicle by mid-2015. Competition is going to be immense for this car but its excellent past performance is likely to take it through in addition to the intelligence shown by Mahindra & Mahindra in upgrading it.
