Renault India is all set to launch the much-awaited Lodgy MPV in the country tomorrow. The MPV will be launched in both 7-seater and 8-seater versions. Renault dealers have already started taking pre-orders for the car at a token amount of Rs, 50,000, while the deliveries are expected to commence from tomorrow. It is expected to be priced in the range of Rs. 8 to 12 lakh.
The Renault Lodgy MPV is powered by a 1.5-litre diesel engine that offers two states of tunes - 85PS/204Nm and 110PS/240Nm. The former is paired to a five-speed manual gearbox; the 110PS motor is coupled to a six-speed gearbox. While the 85PS motor is claimed to return an impressive 21.04kmpl of mileage, the powerful 110PS engine delivers 19.98kmpl of fuel efficiency.
Initially, the vehicle will come in top-spec RXZ trim, which is equipped with various advanced features such as reversing camera with sensors, touchscreen infotainment system, power windows, power sockets for all three rows, air conditioning vents for all three rows, multi-functional steering wheel, etc. Other features include electrically adjustable ORVMs, cruise control & speed limiter, MediaNAV with AUX-in, USB & Bluetooth, keyless entry, etc.
The vehicle will also be quite safe with features such as ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), Electronic Brake-Force Distribution, airbags for driver and co-driver, etc. The Lodgy MPV will directly rival against the likes of Toyota Innova, Honda Mobilio and Maruti Suuzki Ertiga.
