Mahindra Xylo is expected to hit the domestic market, powered with most of the features that exist in its predecessor, Mahindra Xylo. Mahindra Xylo Mini will compete in the SUV segment, with cars like Toyota Innova and Chevrolet Tavera. The premium SUV is expected to be competitively priced between the range of Rs. 4.5 lacs to Rs. 5.5 lacs. The tag line for its parent model was 'Happy legs' and for Xylo Mini, it is expected to be 'Small happy legs'.

The company claims that the unique selling point of Mahindra Xylo Mini will be its exterior appearance, which will attract the buyers attention instantly. The car will have a compact structure, with a stylish yet sporty essence. The car would be majorly based on 3 concepts namely style, comfort and sophistication. With its powerful and sturdy structure, Xylo Mini is also expected to earn laurels in short span of time.

Various reports about Mahindra Xylo Mini have revealed that a number of new features can be expected in the interior of the car. Xylo Mini is expected to carry all the comfort and luxury features that are present in Mahindra Xylo. The cabin appearance too, will not be much different from the earlier version. Moreover, features like door pads with leather interior, chromed inner door handles, sporty cockpit, leather covered gear, wood print panels and dual tone leather upholstery can be expected.

In terms of passenger safety and security, various reports suggest that the new Mahindra Xylo Mini will come equipped with the perfect combination of passive and active safety measures. Various expected safety measures will include anti-lock braking system (ABS), driver passenger airbags that will provide protection against injuries during a collision, and an engine immobilizer as well.

The exterior of Xylo mini will be equipped with standard safety features like front fog lights that will help provide a clear visibility during bad weather conditions. Other safety equipments include crumple zone, seat belt warning signals and front seat belts adjustable function. There are several other cabin accessories like a cabin entertainment unit that comes with MP3 /CD player and speakers, along with a high definition surround sound system.

Thus, Mahindra & Mahindra has maintained its position of being a premier automobile supplier in the sports utility vehicle segment in India. The introduction of Mahindra Xylo Mini will be an attempt to enter the compact sports utility vehicles segment, which is a road less travelled.
