Automaker Mahindra & Mahindra has been pretty active in the market in recent times and the 2014 Auto Expo was an event where they showcased a number of models, which included the Quanto compact Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) featuring Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) gearbox. It was said that the model will be launched in the market soon but nothing came up after the 2014 Auto Expo. However, according to a report by Overdrive, Mahindra Quanto with AMT is set to be launched soon in the Indian market. It is going to be another launch after Mahindra & Mahindra launching the new Scorpio, which is one of their most successful models.
In the past few years, automatic transmission is something that has been catching up with new models coming up due to awareness increasing regarding the ease of driving that comes with it. Not many individuals know the benefit of clutchless driving and recently more models coming up with automatic transmission, which have improved the situation. Industry experts feel that this trend is only going to gain more importance in coming times. Some of the models that come with automatic transmission include Maruti Suzuki Celerio and Tata Zest.
