Mahindra Two-Wheelers’ upcoming sports tourer – the Mojo – has been spied ahead of its launch in festive season (October – November). In fact, the production of the bike has already begun at the company’s Pithampur plant in Madhya Pradesh.
The new spyshots suggest that the Mojo features premium 3D Mahindra and Mojo brand badges on the tank (instead stickers), sporty dual exhaust, black handlebar, black finished undercowl engine and slightly large and re-positioned pillion grab rails. Other noteworthy styling elements include twin headlamps with LED daytime running lights, body-colored sump guard, a small LED taillight, dual-tone seat, hefty front USD forks, new knee recesses, radiator shrouds and golden inverted telescopic fork with matching swing arm.
This sport tourer rides on the Y-spoke black alloy wheels wrapped with Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tyres. The Mojo measures 2,100mm in length, 830mm in width and 1,270mm in height with a wheelbase of 1,450mm. It has a ground clearance of 150mm. The bike draws its braking power from the front pedal disc brake and rear disc brake. Powering the Mojo is a 295cc, 4-stroke, single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that is paired to a 6-speed transmission. The engine will churn out a maximum power of 31.2bhp and 25Nm of peak torque.
Expected to be priced around Rs. 1.50 lakh - Rs. 1.75 lakh (ex-showroom), the Mahindra Mojo will be pitted against Honda CRB 250R, Kawasaki Ninja 250R and KTM Duke 390.
