The leading Utility Vehicle (UV) maker, Mahindra & Mahindra announced the launch of its 'New Bolero Maxi Truck', which will add to the pick-up portfolio of car maker. All-new Bolero is offered with a price tag of Rs. 4.08 lacs (ex-showroom Karnataka), which will surely grab the attention of a large number of buyers. The newly launched stylish makeover variant of Bolero Maxi truck has a MDI engine under its hood, which depicts its performance. Incorporation of power steering option and better interiors added to the likes of new vehicle.

According to Arun Malhotra, Senior Vice-President, Sales and Customer Care, Automotive Division, M&M, the option of power steering serves demand of stand operators as well as businessmen in an improved manner. It provides them an efficient mode of cargo transportation and comfort on longer drives as well. He further added, “With a comprehensive portfolio of products we hope to further consolidate our leadership position in the commercial vehicle industry.”

Senior Vice President, Marketing, Automotive Sector, M&M, Vivek Nayer, quoted, “The new Bolero Maxi Truck features the stylish front look of the Bolero; the distinctive front grille gives the vehicle a masculine yet aesthetic face, lending it a strong on-road presence and evoking a sense of pride for its owner. The Bolero Maxi Truck is the first product in the Pick-Up category to offer the revolutionary Micro Hybrid technology which has been pioneered by Mahindra in India. This path breaking system will help deliver considerable improvement in fuel efficiency, ensuring greater prosperity for our customers.”

The new vehicle borrows its stylish looks from Bolero and comes with M&M's class-leading Micro-Hybrid technology. Assimilation of new technology has a simple principle that not to combust fuel if not required. It automatically detects when the vehicle is idle and, thus, shuts the engine. Owing to this technology, the vehicle offers better mileage, which reduces its running cost. To illustrate how the technology works, lets consider that the vehicle stops at a red light and is put into neutral; the motor will shut by itself within 5 seconds. Only after the driver presses clutch, powertrain will start its operations automatically. In India, Mahindra specialises in this environment friendly and innovative technology and, therefore, the car maker has installed the same in its models like Scorpio and Bolero.

The new Bolero Maxi Truck also features a Viscous Fan-drive technology, which shut downs its fan when the temperature of the powertrain goes below a pre-set temperature. Besides, the recently launched version of Bolero comes with a new muffler design to reduce the 'back-pressure' significantly. This philosophy also reduces the fuel consumption and enables the engine offer better mileage.

Mahindra's latest offering in pick-up category offers transportation of heavier loads in a single trip because of its 1-tonne payload capacity together with a top speed of 100 kmph. The low turning radius of 6.6 metre ensures the agility of new vehicle in congested spaces, which allows the deliveries even in narrowest lanes. M&M's focus while developing the new pick-up truck was towards offering convenience and utility to its customers and the same is offered. The vehicle proves to be high-up on both of these parameters with Plush fabric seats, greater cabin space and a ventilated cabin.
