Car giant Mahindra & Mahindra is arriving at the Auto Expo 2012 with its Korean subsidiary Ssangyong's vehicles to make the latter's debut in India next month. As a matter of fact, M&M acquired the Korean company Ssangyong a year ago. The company is set to put on display, its sports utility vehicles Rexton and Korando that would also be rolled out in India in the near future.

According to an official statement by the company, "Post the acquisition of Ssangyong Motors, there has been a lot of interest within Indian consumers to see for themselves some of these world-class products. Keeping in mind this aspiration, Mahindra will showcase among other vehicles, both the Rexton and Korando E which are slated to be launched in India shortly."

Back in November 2010, M&M inked a deal with Ssangyong Motor Company to take control over 70 per cent of the struggling South Korean auto maker. Under the agreement, M&M paid USD 463 million or around Rs. 2,105 crore to own a major stake in the firm.

Along with the two SUVs, M&M will bring out the electric version of its Verito sedan during the Auto Expo 2012 heat. In addition, Mahindra is also expected to add the electric vehicle Reva NXR to its portfolio of cars that will be showcased at the mega event.

"The new vehicle will be the latest One Ford global product, a vehicle designed to help expand Ford's footprint in the world's fastest-growing auto markets, including India. It will be the second of eight products Ford plans to bring to India by mid-decade," Ford India was quoted as saying.

Thus, Mahindra & Mahindra confirms to be an integral part of the Auto Expo and is likely to grab eyeballs due to the variety and uniqueness of its products.
