Petrol cars would be affordable this December due to the discounts and freebies offered by renowned car manufacturers. With price touching the lowest point, buying petrol cars would be a sensible decision as major car manufacturers are planning to increase the car prices by up to 3 percent by the beginning of next year. Freebies and discounts are offered up to Rs. 64,000 by companies like Hyundai, General Motors, Maruti Suzuki, and Honda. As per reports, the companies are planning to clear their stock by the end of this year. The offer includes free maintenance, insurance and benefits like loyalty bonus.

However, diesel car buyers may not be happy as the companies will not be offering any discount on any models. As demand outstrips supply, the car makers are not in a position to offer freebies on petrol cars. General Motors India is offering Rs. 33,000 discount on its Beat and around Rs. 64,000 on its Spark. The U-Va and Aveo becomes cheaper by Rs. 54,000 and 62,000 respectively. Up to Rs. 56,000 discount is provided on the Chevrolet Optra. Even Honda Siel is not lagging behind as its Civic and Accord sedans would attract customers with its free GPS system.

Hyundai, the second largest car manufacturer of India, is offering Rs. 34,000 off on its Santro and Rs. 50,000 off on i10 hatch. Even Verna petrol has become cheaper during this December by Rs. 10,000. Maruti Suzuki hopes that after March 2011 sales, the December sales would be the highest. Hence, the companies are all set to lure customers through the hefty discounts.
