      Hyundai eyes a sales mark of 700,000 units in US during year 2012

      Hyundai Motors, the largest car maker based in South Korean market, is aiming to register a considerable surge in its sales in the American market during calendar year 2012. Despite the recent slowdown in sales in the US market, the company is eyeing to sell a total of 700,000 vehicles in this country during this year. In year 2011, the company managed to sell a total of 645,691 units of its vehicles in the US market, registering a surge of about 20 percent over the previous year’s sales figures.

      The company is aggressively expanding its operation in the American market by expanding its production facility and strengthening its network. The company is also planning to increase its workforce substantially to further aid this expansion process.

      The firm is strategizing hard on marketing and advertising fronts to keeps its sales charts positive throughout the year. Hyundai is hoping to perform above expectations in the US market during this year.

      In India, Hyundai is second largest car maker with having a number of popular cars in its portfolio including small car EON, hatchbacks Santo Xing, i10 and i20, sedans Accent, Verna and Sonata and SUV Santa Fe.
