This October the Indian auto market is likely to feel quite zealous, with the upcoming festive season bringing in the all new Hyundai Eon which is likely to be launched in the month of October this year. Hyundai, India’s second largest auto maker has been burning the midnight oil in order to produce this small car and the operations regarding the same have been going on for a long time now.  It is believed that Eon was temporarily titled as H800 during the start of its production. The small car is likely to confront cars which are quite popular in India with one such name being Alto, which is a product of the leader among auto giants in i.e. Maruti Suzuki.

It is important to note that Alto enjoys one great advantage over that of Eon which is the experience and time period. Indian auto market has witnessed the launch and the success story of this car long time ago, which ultimately makes it a more trustworthy and known name. Another aspect that arises concern in the Hyundai camp is the vast chain of showrooms that Maruti has, across India.

On the face of it, it appears that the Hyundai EON would play strongly for a long time, coming out as a tough competitor amidst number of new faces being revealed in the Indian auto market. The new hatchback would gear-up for competing with renowned names of the industry. The Indian auto industry has continuously welcomed Hatchbacks and small cars. The new introduction by Hyundai is expected to act as a replacement for the ace car Hyundai Santro. Hyundai believes that Eon would make use of its high-end performance and satisfactory fuel economy to battle against big brand cars.

Hyundai Eon seems to be quite an appropriate option for the Indian customers as along with fuel efficiency, it scores well with a power generation of around 50bhp. It also comprises a three-cylinder 800 cc petrol engine. In terms of appearance, Eon overshadows Alto with a fresh and ore advanced look. With a capacity to accommodate four passengers, the spaciousness quotient too, cannot be questioned. The space is believed to be inspired by that of Santro. Hyundai Eon is equipped with a three-Pot Petrol engine.

The launch date which is believed to be slated during October is not yet confirmed by the car maker officially. The Hyundai camp is relying upon the small car to increase its market share in India and achieve a successful sales figure. With a price that falls well before 3 lacs, Hyundai EON can give a harrowing time to its rivals.

The design of EON has been worked on the lines of the future technologies and seems to be inspired by the Hyundai i-series. The car has taken immense care regarding its style and definitely offers a sophisticated look.  Along with the launch in India, the car maker is mulling upon exporting the car abroad. Thus, Hyundai Eon is yet another promising car that would live up to the expectations of the maker as well as the buyers.
