Hyundai Motors India Limited (HMIL), the second largest car maker in the Indian market, is all set to launch its much awaited and most talked about small car – Hyundai Eon – in the Indian market, today.The base model of Hyundai EON is expected to be priced at Rs 2.5 lakh. The Hyundai EON base model would be about Rs 30,000 cheaper than the Hyundai Santro Xing. The car can booked at any Hyundai outlet in the country by paying an initial booking amount of Rs 20,000.
Powered by an 814 cc engine, the Hyundai EON will be the biggest competitor to Maruti’s bestselling small car Alto in the Indian market. With a maximum power of 55 bhp, the highly efficient engine of the car is capable of delivering a fuel economy of 21.1 KMPL.
Borrowing the exterior designing characteristics from the all new Hyundai Verna Fluidic, the new EON carries an eye arresting road presence. The Hyundai EON model will be rolled-out in six variants including D-Lite, D-Lite (O), Era, Magna, Magna (O) and Sportz. The car will be offered in five exciting shades including White, Black, Red, Silver and Grey. The major attractions of the top end variant of the car include driver airbag, music system, central locking, air-conditioner, power steering and power windows.
