      Hungarian company collaborates with 2 Chennai based car-makers for navigation systems

      As technology in cars have been gaining a strong momentum in the country, Hungarian company NNG, developers of navigation systems has partnered with two car manufacturers in Chennai. For now the company has closed the deal with two major companies and has initiated talks with the third one. In about next two to three years about 50% of the cars manufactured in Chennai is likely to receive the navigation system technology from NNG.

      Speaking more on the occasion, Peter Bolesza, Vice-President of Eastern Europe and Emerging Markets, NNG said, “We have non-disclosure agreements with clients not to reveal their names at this moment.” The company being one the leading players among navigation solution providers has been well known for its services being offered to personal, automotive, and wireless navigation markets by offering on-board 3D navigation applications. Globally, the iGO navigation software has been serving over 20 million devices.

      In India, for now Volkswagen cars and the popular Renault Duster has received the Global Positioning System. The company foresees a strong potential in the country as India ranks as the sixth biggest market in the world that has produces around 3.2 million vehicles last year. It is expected that the numbers may rise to around 10 million in six years and shall hold third ranking in global standing.
