When it comes to the MPV market in India, there is no shortage of options. In the past couple of years, there have been a number of options, which have been launched. Toyota Innova, one of the leading models in the country has been pitted against a recent entry, Honda Mobilio.
On one hand Innova is popular for its capacious nature, comfort and great riding experience. Honda has been ideally priced between the Innova as well as Ertiga, so that it might rival both. Toyota Innova has scored higher than the Mobilio when it comes to the capacity of the MPVs. The Innova has 4585 mm in length, 1765 mm wide and 1760 mm in height. With the wheelbase measuring 2750 mm, the Innova is class-leader in this respect. The Mobilio has 4386 mm length, 1683 mm wide and has a height of 1603 mm.
In the drivetrain department, the Innova is powered by a 2.0-litre petrol and 2.5-litre diesel engine options. The power output of the car is 131.4 bhp at the rate of 5600 rpm. The torque output of the car is 181 Nm at 4000 rpm. The 2.5-litre diesel engine is capable of producing 100.6 bhp at 3600 rpm. The torque output is 200 Nm at the rate of 1200-3600 rpm. The rivalry is expected to boost up with the launch of Mobilio in the MPV category.
