Honda is currently in the final stages of the next generation Amaze development. There’s a high chance of this compact sedan making its global debut at the 2018 Auto Expo.
This vehicle is currently being developed at Honda’s Thailand facility. However, a lot of its development inputs have come from the Indian R&D facility. There isn’t much information forthcoming on this car yet, but it looks like the new Amaze will get a new design, along with some mechanical upgrades.
The new Amaze will be available in both, petrol and diesel variants. The automatic versions are in the pipeline too, however, the Japanese top honchos are looking very closely at the sales of the Maruti Suzuki Dzire AMTs to take a final call on the launch versions. The company is expected to equip the new Amaze with a host of new features as the market has been very demanding in that area.
While the global unveil might happen at the biennial event in Noida next year, the official launch is expected to take place in the latter half of 2018.
