      Hero HX250R to be launched In October, price close to Rs. 2 Lakhs

      Hero MotoCorp has been working hard to maintain its grip as one of the largest company in the two-wheeler segment in India, and has been releasing revamped versions of its old bikes and launching new products too. One of these is the highly anticipated, Hero HX250R, which was expected to have been released by now. The auto maker recently announced that the launch of its 250 cc bike will be postponed to the last quarter of the year, most probably October, as the company officials want everything perfected before the launch.

      The new Hero HX250R is going to be equipped with a 249 cc single cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that will come with a fuel injection system. This engine will be capable of producing a maximum power of 31 bhp and 26 Nm of torque. To complete the powerful engine, the bike comes features a highly efficient six-speed gearbox. On paper, the new Hero HX250R looks very capable. The lightweight 139 kg, HX250R comes with an amazing power to weight ratio and features 2 power modes for the engine, one capable of churning out 31 bhp for performance and the other 24 bhp for normal riding. The bike can touch the speed of 100 kmph in less than 8 seconds and go up to a top speed of 160 kmph. ABS will be available as an optional feature too.

      Contrary to the earlier speculations that the bike will be priced at around Rs. 1.5 lakhs, the all new Hero HX250R will be launched around a hefty price of Rs. 2 lakhs. The bike will be pitted against the KTM RC 390 and the Honda CBR250R.
