American motorcycle manufacturing giant Harley-Davidson recently completed five years in India and celebrated the occasion with an exclusive party. The invitees for this party included H.O.G. members and owners of dealerships. Held in Goa, the venue of 2015 Indian Bike Week, this party turned out to be a huge success. An H.O.G. rally was also organised by the iconic firm, starting in Mumbai and ending in Goa.

Owners from all over the country, around 2000 in number, came with their respective families to be the part of one giant celebration. The party also entailed accolades for some of the owners, who were given the Big 5 patch at the awards event. It is believed that the Big 5 patch has great significance in the Harley-Davidson community and is given to those who complete the four zonal rallies and the H.O. G. India National Rally inside a year. These trips, for the 2014-15 period, included journeys to Pushkar, Goa, Hyderabad, Khajuraho and Udaipur.

Not only did Harley-Davidson please owners of bikes and dealerships, it also ensured that fans attending the event had a good time. The American giant allowed some of the fans to ride their favourite bikes for a while, bringing great delight to them. Harley-Davidson is going from strength to strength in India and slowly, but steadily, the firm is creating a solid customer base in the sub-continent.

In recent years, several companies have entered the Indian market and Harley-Davidson is one of them. Unlike a decade back, buyers in the country are not averse to purchasing high-end motorcycles. In fact, awareness, increase in purchasing power and introduction of right models has given Harley-Davidson the go ahead to sustain itself in India, which is one of the largest markets in the entire world.
