      Ducati Monster likely to be launched with a starting price tag of INR 6.98 lakh

      The prices of bikes in the Monster series by Audi-owned bike manufacturer Ducati have come out before the official launch in the country. According to a report by Bikewale, Ducati is expected to launch eight models from the series in the Indian market and the prices are likely to start at INR 6.98 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The lowest priced bike in this range is the basic level Monster 795.

      Ducati’s Monster model portfolio comprises four main bikes and special editions of them. While the Monster 795 is expected to be the least priced, Monster 821 and Monster 1200 will be the high end models. Other models include Monster 796 S2R and 796 ABS Corse Stripe, which are powered by an air-cooled L-Twin powertrain with a capacity of 803 cc. These models are capable of delivering a maximum output of 87 BHP along with peak torque of 78 Nm.

      The iconic firm has adopted an intelligent method to keep the price of low-end Monster bikes in check, making them more viable for the Indian customer base. These bikes are going to be imported from Thailand via the Semi-knocked down method. The models are likely to be launched in Indian within the next few weeks.

      Monster 795: INR 6.98 lakh, Monster 796 S2R: INR 7.99 lakh, Monster 796 ABS Corse Stripe: INR 7.99 lakh, Monster 821 Dark: INR 8.99 lakh, Monster 821: INR 9.50 lakh, Monster 1200: INR 19.85 lakh, Monster 1200S: INR 24.33 lakh and Monster 1200S Stripe: INR 25.74 lakh.
