The new trim is likely to be launched in the European market sometime in 2016 and may replace the 2.0 Liter trim. It is anticipated to deliver a better fuel efficiency than the existing trim. The 1.2 Liter turbo petrol shall be mated to six speed gearbox and deliver impressive performance owing to use of high pressure, direct fuel injection with a turbocharger technology. Moreover, Renault’s engine Stop & Start technology minimises fuel consumption and emissions in traffic while ensuring that fuel is always injected into the most appropriate cylinder for instant restarting.

The carmaker has also provided three operating modes that can be used to drive the vehicle as per different road conditions. The use of modern technology has also ensured that deceleration energy recovery system stores energy normally wasted as heat during slowing down and stopping in the battery to restart the car. More details relating to emissions, fuel consumption and performance figures shall be known at the time of launch announcement being made by the company in this regard.
