Chennai, the capital of Tamil Nadu, saw the inauguration of Auto Circuit, a four-day automobile exhibition on 19th March. A number of high-end models of cars and bikes were displayed at this event. Alisha Abdullah, who won the first Woman Racing Championship, flagged off this four-day rally in Phoenix MarketCity. Gopu Rajgopal, the Managing Director of Phoenix MarketCity, was also present at the inauguration ceremony. Some of the brands that showcased their models at Auto Circuit include Jaguar Land Rover, Mini Cooper, Honda, Harley-Davidson and Mercedes-Benz, among others. The organisers have also focused on entertainment factor by bringing in several bands to perform for visitors, such as E-Flat and Synergy Chennai.
Alisha Abdullah spoke about the event and expressed her excitement. “I have been associated with Phoenix MarketCity for various events; it’s an honour to be part of such a prestigious event like the Auto Circuit. Being passionate about automotives myself, the Auto Circuit event at the mall has provided an opportunity for patrons and automobile enthusiasts to see the best luxury cars and the fine nuances of these luxury vehicles, in Chennai,” she said.
The Managing Director of Phoenix MarketCity, Gopu Rajgopal, also spoke on the occasion. “It was a great joy for us to organize the Auto Circuit. Chennai has always shown a great display of love and interest for cars. We at Phoenix MarketCity wish to provide more occasions like this to benefit our mall patrons,” he said.
