There have been multiple reports of the iconic car Ford Mustang coming to India and the rumours are pretty strong. Now, according to a recent scoop by Indian Autos Blog, the Ford Mustang was recently spotted testing in Pune, which is located in the state of Maharashtra. Reports have emerged in the recent past that the American car manufacturer is working on a Right Hand Drive (RHD) version of the Mustang model, which is currently in its sixth generation. Experts feel that since this is the second time the Ford Mustang has been spotted in India, it will not be long before this model is launched in India.

It is being said that India will be getting the V8 version of the Ford Mustang, which is powered by a 5.0-litre engine and manages to churn an output of around 435 BHP and peak torque of 542.3 Nm. This car, which has a weight of around 1692 kg, can reach 100 kmph from scratch in just 4.5 seconds. There is a six-speed SelectShift automatic transmission system fitted in this model sends power to the rear wheels of the Ford Mustang that could be launched in India.

The Ford Mustang, unlike other models that have such history, has managed to evolve with time and the American firm’s dynamism is responsible for the same. Some of the salient features of the new generation Ford Mustang include front callipers with six pistons, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), multiple drive models and independent suspension system for the rear. The European and American markets get the four-cylinder EcoBoost version of this model.

Ford Mustang 5.0 litre GT comes at a price of around US $32,300 in the American market and around £33,995 in the British market. It is certain that Ford Mustang will be brought to India as a Completely Built Unit (CBU), which means an almost double price as compared to the US and UK markets. When launched in the Indian market, Ford Mustang could be priced in the region of Rs. 60-65 lakh.
