The Figo Aspire sedan from Ford has been one of the most awaited sedans in the country. The carmaker has finally announced the tech specs for the upcoming vehicle. The sedan is expected to be launched in petrol as well as diesel engine alternatives. The company has not revealed the prices for the upcoming sedan yet, but it is expected to priced at around the same range that Maruti's Swift Dzire and Hyundai's Xcent has been offering in India.
The upcoming Ford Figo Aspireis expected to be offered in two petrol and one diesel engine option. One of the petrol variant would feature a 1.2-litre Ti-VCT that would be mated to five-speed gearbox that is capable of generating about 86.8Bhp of power with 112 Nm of torque. The other petrol variant would be powered by 1.5-litre Ti-VCT with a six-speed dual clutch automatic transmission that is capable of generating about 110.5bhp of power with 136Nm of peak torque output. As per ARAI, the 1.2 Litre engine delivers about 18.16 Kmpl, whereas the 1.5 Litre trim would return about 17 Kmpl.
The diesel trim of Ford Figo Aspire reportedly shall get a 1.5-litre TDCi Duratoq engine that has been mated to a five-speed manual gearbox and is capable of generating about 98.6bhp of power with a maximum torque output of about 215Nm. As per ARAI, the diesel trim would reportedly deliver about 25.83 kmpl. Some of the interesting features that you may expect with the upcoming trim is ord's SYNC with AppLink entertainment system, Voice Commands, MyFord Dock, Ford MyKey, climate control and electric power steering. For safety, the sedan may get Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Electronic stability control (ESP) and Hill Launch Assist function.
