      Ford consolidates its Indian operations with new appointments

      Ford India, the domestic arm of American auto maker, has appointed new professionals in order to consolidate its sales and marketing team. Reportedly, Raj Sarkar has been appointed as the Vice President for Marketing at Ford India. He boasts of a sound experience of more than 17 years at both product and consumer marketing for company's models in North America. Sources close to the development process revealed that Sarkar will be now accountable for brand building of Ford India.

      Executive Director for Marketing, Sales and Service at Ford India, Vinay Piparsania was quoted as saying, “His extensive marketing experience along with the rich global perspective that he has gained over the years with Ford will surely help us go further with our brand and business in India.”

      In an official statement, the company said that Sarkar will be reporting to Piparsania for his Indian operations. Along with Sarkar, the American auto maker roped in Rahul Gautam as General Manager, Consumer Marketing, who was earlier performing as a Ford Asia Pacific B-car Product Marketing Manager. At his new position, Gautam will be accountable for strategical programs and executing brand management for car lines in India. Also, the statement said that Vinay Raina has been recruited as General Manager, Product Marketing and will be working for marketing the expanding product portfolio of Ford in India.
