      Fiat offers facelifted Linea at international auto market

      Fiat, the Italian car maker, is planning to launch a facelifted version of its Linea, sedan, in the International auto market by 2013. Post its launch in international market, the 2013 Linea will be then introduced in the Indian auto market in few couple of years. The facelifted version of Linea will feature a front lip spoiler and a new grille with fine polish on its outer lining. Owing to this feature, the car will be warmly welcomed by the Indian buyers, as the customers here like owing those cars that have ample of chrome at exteriors.

      In addition to grille, the new model is also incorporated with a new body coloured front bumper. Considering the rear portion of upgraded Linea, the car is neatly designed with new boot lid as well as tail lights and a strip of chrome, which is following across the rear bumper of 2013 Linea.

      Although the car will not be seen in India in near future, its production is already started in Turkey. The interiors of new car are also modified to some extent, which will offer a warm welcome to its passengers. Although the dashboard of car is designed using new colours, the overall update will not grab the first attention of audience. On the other hands, the engine of this car is modified to a great level. The facelifted version will be offered in both – petrol as well as diesel versions. Petrol version will hold a 1.4 litre MultiAir engine, whereas the diesel version will be assimilated with a 1.3 litre Multijet II engine. Both of these engines are counted among the latest powertrains, which are offered in the company’s compact engine line-up. Owing to this, these engines features advance technology that assist them to have less CO2 emissions and deliver exceptional unmatched fuel economy.

      The Multijet II engine is assimilated with a new injection management system that has over 8 injections per cycle, however the Multijet 1 has only 5 injections. This engine is paralleled with the norms of Euro V emission and churns out maximum power of 93 bhp, while attains highest torque of 200 Nm. However, the performance oriented 1.4 litre MultiAir engine also has decent power as well as torque emissions. Along with decent emissions, the engine of this car also offers a brilliant fuel economy that maintains its overall running cost. However, it is not confirmed that whether Fiat will introduce these engines in India or not, because of some pricing issues, which are related behind the development of these powertrains.
