Mini, the premium small car maker owned by the German automaker BMW has announced the inauguration of its second dedicated showroom in India at Delhi. After Infinity Cars opened in Mumbai, the Mini brand has opened a dealership called Bird Automotive at Vasant Kunj in Delhi. The Delhi outlet will be showcasing the enticing Mini range comprising the MINI Cooper Hatch, Mini Cooper Convertible and Mini Cooper S Countryman.
Dr. Andreas Schaaf, the President, BMW Group India, commented on the second brand new showroom of brand Mini, “With the launch of Bird Automotive, we have brought Mini, the world’s most exciting premium small car brand, to Delhi.”
The Bird Automotive sales outlet encompasses a wide space of over 5,000 sq. Ft with a display are of 6 cars in the two storey building. However, the buyers can avail the after sales service at the dealership’s service centre located at Gurgaon.
The delivery of Mini marquee cars took a kick start in the month of May, which clearly indicated that out of the 50 cars sold since, the sales proportion in Mumbai and Delhi is almost equal. The company is forecasting that the sales from Delhi region will soon overtake the sales percentage in Mumbai.
The models envisaged in the Mini range in India are powered with petrol engines. However, the automaker will be planning to launch the diesel variants for the Mini brand in future.
BMW Financial Services has branched out a separate Mini Financial Services that is aimed at offering the Mini buyers a range of finance and insurance options.
