The GM India had recently announced its plans to launch the Chevrolet Trailblazer SUV in the country sometime soon this year. The company is also planning on launching a new multi purpose vehicle sometime soon next year. Speaking more on the occasion, Arvind Saxena, president and managing director, General Motors India, said, “GM India's focus is on significantly expanding its presence in the Indian market by enriching its products, quality and the entire purchasing experience.”
Under the hood the Trailblazer SUV from Chevrolet shall likely be powered by two diesel engines – 2.5 Liter diesel engine mated to a six-speed manual gearbox is capable of generating about 163 bhp of power with 380 Nm of torque. The other trim is likely to be a 2.8 liter engine that is mated to a six speed automatic transmission that powers all the wheels and is capable of generating about 200 bhp of power with about 500 Nm of torque. More details about the vehicle shall be known sometime later during an official announcement made by the company in this regard.
