Showing a complete epitome of true sportsmanship, Chevrolet has extended its heartiest congratulations to Ford on the occasion of 50thbirthday of Ford’s heroic Mustang. Chevrolet Camaro and Ford Mustang are arch rivals, despite that it did not stop Chevrolet to wish Mustang on its 50th anniversary through an image which says ‘Happy Birthday Mustang’.
Chevrolet officials were quoted as saying that Camaro and Mustang share healthy competition, this has been a motivation for persistent improvement. The rivalry between both the vehicles goes a long way back and they have left no chance to surpass each other.
GM's Executive Vice President of Global Product Development, Mark Reuss said, "For five decades, the Camaro and the Mustang have been battling it out in every possible setting. These two cars have been striving to beat each other on the track, on the drag strip and on the streets. That competition is a big part of why both cars are so amazing, and so popular, today."
Mustang and Camaro have made a niche for themselves in their respective segment, Camaro was launched in 1967 and will soon be completing 40 years in the industry. However the vehicle was introduced 47 years ago but the production was taken off between 2003 and 2009. In 2010, the vehicle was re-inducted and will soon be completing 40 years, it remains to be seen how the company will celebrate its 40th anniversary.
