      BMW to approach Indian market with its 2012 BMW 3-Series F30 sedan

      BMW, the German auto marque, is on a full swing to pull the masses towards its upcoming launch, the all-new 3 Series. The yet-to-be launched car is scheduled to mark its entry in the Indian auto industry on 27th July 2012 in Mumbai, which will be further followed by launches of the model in other parts of the country. For the promotion of its new car, the company has started a campaign scheme, ‘Ultimat3’, wherein the new model will be showcased at different public places in all the metropolitan cities. In the initial stages, BMW will bring in its new model in India as Completely Knocked Down (CKD) units, which will be assembled at its Chennai facility.

      As a part of its publicity campaign, the German car maker has launched a contest on the BMW’s official page on Facebook, a social networking website. The winner will get a special invitation to attend the grand launch event of the all new 3 Series.

      The upcoming car will feature an innovative Kelleners Sport tuning package, which will add to the potential of the car. The series of upgrades introduced within the F30 BMW 3 Series will enhance its overall appearance as well as the level of output. Newly designed front spoilers, trunk spoilers and rear skirt extensions are few of the multiple smart features the car is going to flaunt.

      The customers will also be provided with an option of either a 19-inch or 20-inch alloy wheels, which will not only make the side profile of 3 Series more attractive, but will also improve the handling of the new car. Incorporation of a unique Kelleners Sport coilover suspension system will make sure that the overall drive of the car is reduced by 66 mm, adding to the sporty character of the F30 3 Series.

      The diesel model of the 3 Series will be assimilated with a 2.0 litre four-cylinder engine, which will have the potential to churn out maximum power of 184 bhp with a peak torque of 380 Nm. In order to improve the performance of this engine, the company has offered an option of either a six speed automatic transmission system or an eight speed gearbox. On the other hand, the 320d model will generate an additional 34 bhp of power, whereas the output of petrol version 328i will surge 49 bhp.

      BMW F30 3 Series shares some of the highlights from the company’s 5 Series and 7 Series models, including its angular LED head lamps. The upcoming model from BMW houses ample space in cabin with enhanced leg room and head room, mainly at the rear row. From its exterior appearance, the car seems to be gigantic but in reality its weight has been reduced by 40 kg.

      The launch of a new model in the Indian auto industry will might help the car maker to re-gain its dominant position, which it recently lost to the Audi. The prices of the upcoming BMW 3 series are not yet announced by the company officials, and thus several analysts are coming up with their speculations. BMW is expecting great appreciation from the Indian buyers, owing to the rich features packed within the upcoming model.
