      BMW set to take coves off new 7-series on June 10, 2015

      German car maker BMW will be unveiling it the much-awaited new 7-Series model in the coming days, according to several reports. The showcasing is set to take place on June 10 and the firm communicated the same through a teaser on its official website. Sources claim that BMW has pinned pretty high hopes on this car.

      The newly designed 7-Series model boasts of a noteworthy kidney-shaped grille, which is flanked by on both sides by laser headlights. BMW, as per reports, has worked extensively on the detailing of this model in terms of the style quotient. LED daytime-running lights, remote parking system, Dynamic Damper Control and iDrive touch infotainment system are some of the other highlights of this upcoming model. It is being said that the ride quality of handling of this car are also exceptional.

      BMW 7 Series

      As previously confirmed by the Bavaria-based automaker, the 7-Series model will be fitted with the latest TwinPower in-line six-cylinder powertrain. An air suspension system with automatic self-levelling is also going to come as standard in the new BMW 7-Series. Other variants of this car are expected to be powered by diesel and V8 petrol units. These drivetrains are going to be mated to an eight-speed Steptronic transmission system. A possibility of a nine-speed automatic transmission system cannot be ruled out as well.

      The luxury car manufacturer has not revealed any more information but sources claim that the latest generation BMW 7-Series model is going to be much lighter than the previous version. This change, reportedly, has been brought about by the use of carbon-fibre plastic and high-strength steel. It is rumoured that BMW 7-Series will be launched in the international market in the latter half of 2015. Also, its launch in India could take place during the early months of 2016.
