Currently, plethora of boosters have thrown their weight behind the Indian automobile industry that is not in the best of forms, owing to the infiltration of disturbing elements on regular basis. New Delhi Auto Expo 2012 is one such helping hand that vows to rev-up the recuperating process carried out by car makers in India, following the blows they received from lazy demand and furious interest rates.

The Asia's biggest complete automotive event has pulled the most celebrated names in the car industry, which are gearing up to display their models with high spirits. BMW Group, which is currently wearing the crown in the luxury car segment, is set to showcase the iconic Mini at the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo.

Mini, the marque that is fully owned by BMW will land on the Indian soil with much aplomb, breaking the cover of its 3 door Cooper Hatch, Cooper convertible and Countryman SUV at the show.

As a matter of fact, the Mini Cooper will make its way to India in the form of completely-built units. Dr. Andreas Schaaf, President of BMW India was quoted as saying, "We will focus on the high-end market for performance oriented engines."

The initial months of 2012 will witness the commencement of operations at the two Mini Cooper showrooms in Delhi, whereas a third dealership would be welcomed by Mumbai. As a part of further strategies, 2012 will see Pune, Chennai, Chandigarh and Bangalore getting their own Mini Cooper dealerships.

Along with the Mini, which will arrive during the early stages of 2012, the 3-series convertible would probably find a place in the Indian market during the Christmas month. An all-new 3-series is also expected to hit India next year, in addition to the M5 that will foray into the rapidly-growing market.

As BMW currently holds the title of the leading luxury car maker in India, the company would make every possible effort to keep the momentum going and maintain the lead.

Thus, BMW has come upfront to prove that it will not rest assured on its previously earned laurels and rather rise continuously, setting its position in cement.
