In a car market like India, people generally prefer buying vehicles that are low on maintenance, high on mileage and feasible. Although these features are present in entry-level hatchbacks, but nowadays even other segment cars boasts of such capabilities. Be it sedans, compact or fully fledged Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs), Indian buyers seem to be more flexible now in choosing beyond hatchbacks. However, since the Indian passenger car market is currently going through a repressive phase, the demand has been affected to a large extent. Meanwhile, some vehicles have stayed true to their reputation of being the best selling cars in the country at present.
