Dr. Wolfgang Schreiber, Bentley's Chairman and Chief Executive, accepted the award on behalf of Bentley. He said, “I am delighted to accept this award for the Bentley Continental GT Convertible. Bentley has a longstanding reputation for building exquisite convertibles. Our design and engineering teams have developed this iconic soft top with an uncompromising focus on quality and performance. The result is a stylish four seat convertible that offers supreme levels of power, refinement and luxury”.

The Bentley Continental GT is a two door, four seat grand touring coupe, which made its debut in 2003 as a replacement for Rolls Royce based Continental R and T. The Continental GT houses a 6.0 litre twin-turbocharged W12 capable of churning out a power as high as 552 bhp at 6100 rpm. The car has an excellent acceleration and pick up and can reach from 0-100 kmph in just 4.8 seconds. While the models of Continental GT introduced between 2003 and 2010 are said to belong to the first generation, the revised Continental GT introduced in 2011 and presently available lies in the second generation.
